TalkTools® Jiggler® Combo: Unicorn & Sloth
The TalkTools Jiggler Combo includes two vibrating oral motor tools, the Unicorn and the Sloth, each designed to increase sensory awareness in the muscles of the jaw and lips. Both tools reduce muscle fixing or tightening before therapeutic exercises and can satisfy the need for temporomandibular joint (TMJ) stimulation as an alternative to negative oral habits. Each Jiggler also addresses more targeted therapeutic goals based on its unique shape.
Therapy Goals
- Increase sensory awareness in the muscles of the jaw and lips before exercise, feeding, and speech tasks
- Reduce muscle fixing and tightening as a preparatory step for Oral Placement Therapy (OPT) activities
- Satisfy the need for TMJ stimulation as a replacement for negative oral habits
- Stimulate lip rounding as preparation for speech sounds including /oo/, /oh/, /w/, /r/, /sh/, and /ch/ (Unicorn)
- Stimulate lip closure as preparation for speech sounds including /m/, /b/, and /p/ (Unicorn)
- Introduce spoon feeding for clients who are fearful of oral feeding activities (Unicorn)
- Two distinct Jiggler shapes address both lip-rounding and lip-closure preparatory goals
- Vibration provides calming, organizing sensory input before oral motor exercises
- Effective as a preparatory tool before Muscle-Based Exercises, feeding activities, and speech tasks

- Inspect before each use and replace if any damage is present
